Well most of the reason it hasn't been treated with respect is because I've been broke as a joke the last 5 years.. I'm just starting to be able to afford to fix it (just got a raise).. Rent is too damn expensive out here. Anyways I'll think about LT but again that's A LOT of money that I don't have. Not everything is messed up I have everything I need to fix the body damage.. It's just the front driver frame/suspension components I'm worried about really.. Only body parts that need replacing are the hood and driver fender and grill everything else just needs a nice coat of paint. I could care less about the tailgate or the bed really.. Honesty I rarely use my 4wd and have never gone wheeling before. It's all accident abuse unfortunately.. I have thought about selling it and getting a new tacoma but I'm not sure that would be very cost effective considering I probably won't be able to get much for it cause of all the damage.

That's weak, being broke and respecting your vehicle have nothing to do with each other...in fact, when you are broke like you say, taking extra careful not to incur more expense should be practiced...

    Lesson learned...

You are right, you would probably get more parting it out than selling outright.....even fixed it will be on the low end for resale...and, how in the heck did it pass California inspection over the last five years, it looks like it should be a parts chaser in a junkyard....

Do you have any pics of the interior, I suspect it has its own aura about it....normally the exterior condition mirrors the interior...

You still have a lot of 'stuff' to do, it will be a challenge for sure....good luck...this will be interesting to follow...

Yea lesson learned.. Wish I knew what I know now. I respected it with as much general upkeep as I could (oil changes spark plugs/wires fuel filter air filter brake pads etc...) but it was a work truck and I could care less what it looks like. Id rather drive it to the ground than part it out besides I don't have the funds for another vehicle. CA only has strict regulations when it comes to smog.. It drives fine.. Interior isn't bad actually.. When it was a work truck the interior was worse than the exterior. But I cleaned it up since then.. I'll put some pics on my build thread of the interior. I'm not looking for perfection out of my truck. Definitely have a lot of stuff to do.. Thanks for the luck I'm gunna need it.

UPDATE: I'm going to a toyota/frame specialist 2m with my buddy see if i can get an estimate.

He said it looks like it's the frame. Everything else looks fine. Said it would probably be like 300 - 400$. He also said I don't really need to fix it because it's not that crucial and I could just chop the fender well a little. But I'm probably going to just fix it because I want to.
