    Hello all,

This is my first post so bear with me. I'm going to look at a 2003 Tacoma V6 TRD Xcab 4WD today and I would greatly appreciate thoughts and or concerns relating to this particular truck. I am going to post the description with photos. I intend to travel a great deal out west and want a vehicle that gives me the flexibility to go off road to hike and camp. Everything I've read indicates this truck combines quality, reliability, durability and decent gas mileage. Specific topics of interest include:

    1. What is a fair price for this truck?
    2. Thoughts/concerns/recommendations?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can't expand those thumbnail photos, but it looks like an extra-cab, not a double-cab.

Depending on where you live, the price seems a bit high to me. I paid half that for my '99 in California.

Line-x could be a cover up of bad rust issues.

It's very easy to unhook a odometer so check for signs its bogus.

    Welcome to TW.

Oh and no more threads titled help. It's a unwritten rule.

From personal experience, I now avoid traveling longer than 45 minutes. Almost all sellers are dishonest about something. I'm sure there are some people that are truly honest about everything, but that's few and far between. I am always suspicious when someone says they had it undercoated because now I won't be able to inspect the frame. The pictures didn't work so I can't comment on that.
