    The struts on my Snugtop Super Sport camper top recently deteriorated to the point where they would no longer open the rear window. My TacomaWorld search returned only references to struts for 2nd Gen tops. (I'm sure someone will chime in with whatever I missed.)

    I worked with a vendor I found on eBay, of all places, who helped determine the correct Suspa "gas springs" for my application. Should anyone else need them, Suspa C16-06874 struts fit perfectly and provide sufficient dampened lift to open the window quickly & reliably. I normally shop the Internet pretty hard for the best deal but, in light of the great service the vendor provided, I was happy to pay just under $35 for a pair of struts (delivered).

    According to your profile, you've got a 2nd Gen Tacoma. Based on what I've read, I'm not sure your top requires the same struts as mine. YMMV.
