Hello all. Im scared about the whole thing about the 1st gens and catastriphic failure with the LBJ issue. Should UBJ and LBJ be replaced around the same time? I was also wondering if the 1st gen issue with the LBJ has anything to do with the UBJ....is it just the LBJs with this problem? Thanks ! :) :( :)

I just changed mine for the first time at 229k and noticed the UBJ's had a lot more play/slop than the LBJ's did. I would say do both if you have the cash.

Some of this Some of that
The lbj's have more stress on them, they carry the suspension and weight of the vehicle. The uppers don't have nearly as much stress. I'd say just check the uppers for play and don replace them unless they need it.
... Unless you want to just do all of them and not worry about it for 100k haha
