Ok so Im really sick of the chrome on my grill and bumpers... but i really don't want to just go straight black because my truck is BSP. I was thinking of painting them to match my wheels (Konig Countersteer in graphite). After seeing this truck I realized how close MGM is to the color of these wheels. So My question is do u think it would look good to paint my grill and bumpers with MGM duplicolor? Once again my truck is BSP...

    Example:

I painted my grill with some plastic paint I found in the auto section at Walmart. I sanded it real good an sparyed it. I had been on for about a month an has not chipped or peeled.

As for the chrome bumper. Mine had rusted all the way through. So I ordered a replacement that was primmered. I sprayed it with some black paint I think was duplicolor. Good luck an just take your time.

I have a MGM Off Road and I painted the front bumper and the rear chrome bumper. I used products from Automotive Touch Up online. (http://www.automotivetouchup.com/). The color was an exact match (1G3). I used a sandable primer they offered and on the chrome I used the adhesion promoter. The clear was SprayMax 2K Urethan Clearcoat and it turned out great. Just take your time and do the correct prep work. Turned out awesome and been on for over a year now and still looks great!

I just checked out that site it looks pretty legit but i was wondering what order did u use that stuff? adhesion promoter first then primer, or primer first then adhesion promoter?

I painted mine lunar mist metallic about a month ago and its still hilding up great. The most important part is to take your time preping and taping. When you go to peel the tape make sure that no paint is stuck to it and will pull it up.

Go to a Sherwin Williams and they will put a base coat in an aerosol can for you. Then buy their two-part clear coat (w/hardener) to lay on top of the base coat.

With the grille being on the leading edge of the truck, just a rattle can job won't hold up long (even with the ultimate prep)

Edit: You can also go to the "photoshop request" thread in the photography forum and have them put MGM on your BSP.

    Pretty much stock right now
I went black on BSP on my 03 when I replaced both stock bumpers, but I like the color you are considering. My wheels are unpainted stock alloy, and they look good with the black grill and bumpers. If I had other painted wheels, I may have done it differently. Sorry, no picture of my 03 handy.

Lightyl sanded the chrome bumper, applied the adhesion promoter, primer, sanded, base coat, and finally the clear. I did this on the front grille as well and it is holding up so far.

Hmm now u've got me second guessing myself... Lol I plan to use a whole can per bumper and one for the grill... Then like 3 coats of clear. Hopefully it holds up. If not I guess I could always just derp em later haha
