I have a 2004 tacoma automatic 3.4 liter engine and need to do a transmission service. Many questions:
    1. Is there a torque converter and can it be drained?
    2. How many quarts or liters does it take (with torque converter and w/o torque converter?)
    3. Is there a video I can use on YouTube?
    4. What fluid meets the toyota spec?
    5. Are kits (fluid and filter) available?

    Thanks

I think about 4.5 qts will come out just draining (not touching the filter)

The fluid spec should be on the trans dipstick (what id go by) check your owners manual if you have one of those too...

You should be able to get a filter/gasket at your local autoparts store..

is there any photo or narrative that tells where the fluid pump pipes are so I can connect to them and purge the remaining fluid?

There is no gaskit. Just pink permatex.
