Hi, I'm new to this site, so far I think it's great! I am the original owner of a 2000 Tacoma SR5 ext cab. I have 363k on my truck. I've done very little work to it, just muffler and font brakes twice, sets of tires, and numerous windshields. Still original clutch! It still runs like it will last forever, and I'm not easy on it at all. Does anyone else have miles like this? I've been told there are "Toyota high mileage clubs", but I've never found one. Does Toyota give you any incentives when you have this many miles when it comes time to purchase a new Tacoma?
Also, I'm looking for a new rear bumper and a rubber mat for my truck bed. Should I stay away from after market bumpers? Best place to buy a mat? Thanks in advance for your feedback........

Hi Pete. While I can't speak to your high mileage question, I will say that my rear bumper rusted out recently and I replaced it with a cheap black-powder coated bumper off ebay. It was right around $100 and it worked out great. If the bumper is rusted you can bet all the hardware is too, as well as the heavy reinforcement bar. I replaced it all for around $160 and an hour or two of my time.

For the bed-mat I would say check your local craigslist.

Very impressive that the original clutch has lasted all 360k

Welcome. I doubt Toyota would have any incentive for owning a high mileage Taco. As for the bumper and bed mat, I would just get both off ebay. I, myself am going to buy a new rear bumper off ebay. No reason to spend $$$ on an oem one when they are the same. The last time I looked, a chrome one was about $160 or $170 shipped.

Welcome Pete, those are some ridiculous miles. I think if I ever got to that level of mileage the accomplishment itself is all the incentives I'd need.:)

I just went through my tacoma and replaced some things, I was most impressed by stock U-joints when my truck has 394,711km's. These things are beasts

I'm looking for a bed mat myself for my 99 single cab 4X4......It's only got 142,000 on it but I have only had it for a week....Give me 5 more and it will be 300k plus.

I see the bed mats on ebay as well as summit and JC Whitney for around $75 but I want a matching tailgate mat as well.....Can't seem to find a matching set....?

Very impressive mileage Pete and welcome to TW !

As far as Toyota providing you with an incentive; I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to to talk you into paying a "Longevity Premium" seeing as they are unlikely to see you for another sale anytime soon... :p
