I'm aware of the pros and cons. Don't come in and tell me to do a LT for my truck cause it's more than likely not gonna happen. For all that have bodylifts on their trucks, what size would run 32's? I want the 9.5's though, so it has less chance of scrubbing. But my truck is a 2wd 5 lug so it's the smallest of the small. Think i should just settle on 30x9.5's? I wanna try to manage 32's but if i'm wrong than i don't want it to mess anything up. Also what gearing with 32's. i heard 4.30's are good with 31's over stock but i'm not sure on 32x9.5. aaaand go!

    Thanks

Dude. I don't want to rain on your parade, but you're not going to find anyone to endorse a body lift... let alone a 3 inch one.

How much lift do those spindles give you?

A tad above level. I think my shock absorbers are shot though. i wouldn't wanna put 3" blocks between my frame and cab but if it's necessary id do it. i'd think 2 would be good but i'd just want 32's

With 2 or even 3, I just don't see you getting the clearance. Maybe somebody with some more experience than I should reply.

I've got a 3" body and a 3" suspension on my truck and am running 35s but I had to cut the frame and the fenders quite a bit. My brother has a 3" body on his truck and didnt have to do any cutting on his and he is running 33s. We both have 2wd and had to put spacers in. Mine is an 07 and his is a 13. I dont know about the 1st gen tacomas if they would run into problems or not. Dont know if this would help you or not

Look on ebay. My uncle just sold his 1st gen yota and he got a new in box 3" suspension and 3" body off there and was able to run 35s and it looked great. He also did not have to re-gear

Do your research before you buy any suspension parts. Most of them out there are only for 6-lug Tacomas. Make sure it'll fit on your 5-lug before you buy

Most likely didn't sell alot of 5 lug lifts so they stopped making them.

235/85 s would be a skinny 31. Im pretty sure they are a 31 might have to get 16 though.

Yeah i'm on the hunt for coils maybe. If i can find those than i'll get shackles for the rear and get like a 1 or 2" body. So far i've only found v6 coils. Not sure what year and specs to look for though?? I believe they'll pick it up an inch or 2 without new shocks. mine are blown though and i was gonna pick up 1" lift shock absorbers for it, If i found the correct v6 coils to run. If it's just not possible i'll just get the BL. Seeing that fabtech use to make coils, i might just look for those. definitely want to run coils but yeah you know my situation. if someone knows in depth about replacing coils (i know how to install, just the truck specs of what to look for) than that would be great.

That makes sense :bananadead::bananadead: Thanks for the tire info!

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Yeah 235/85/16 (31.7") would be a size to shoot for. Why not go with the spindles then do a smaller body lift? Or spindles and spacers? I've read that there aren't many options for 5 luggers so hopefully you can find those coils by fabtech.

haha i have both of those.. should i just replace the shocks with stock ones? and run a 2" body?

Haha yeah man, i haven't seen it before! It'd be good lookin to me lol. I'm pretty determined on the bodylift so that they'll clear. Probably goin ith the 235's though, if it all lines up better for those. For the lockers i mentioned in a different thread, my buddy told me you could weld the spider gear or something in the diff so both would turn at all times?? he told me about the pros and cons but not sure if i'd wanna follow through with it.. any input?

So you already have lift spindles for 5 lug? If that's the case then why not add a spacer lift then maybe 1" body lift if you need it. Doesn't fat bobs sell a 3" spacer lift for the 5 lug tacomas? How much lift do the spindles give you? Adding a spacer lift ontop of a spindle lift is not stacking lifts, technically.

Unless of course you can find some fabtech lift coils, keep searching. I thought I saw someone post about those recently. Check Amazon or eBay

Coil spacer? or like a readylift spacer? i have a coil spacer in place, but the top hat that my truck has doesn't include the 3 screws or i would have gotten one of those

It would really help if the links and pictures actually loaded on my computer :confused:
