So I took the truck out a week ago for some off-roading and now I have a squeal coming from my right side...only when I'm driving. Thoughts?

I have the same squealing in my truck coming from the dash, it's a common problem in tacomas. I heard you can to a mechanic and have the gears in your dashboard oiled up.

From engine? Check ac bearing. They like to fail.

Check inside rotor dust shield for rocks.

    Gears under dash? Do elaborate!

Probably a rock in your brakes dust shield. Happens every single time I offroad...without fail. Super annoying.

Care to elaborate rather than attack people without explanation as to why? I wasn't aware getting mud/rocks stuck in my brakes while off-roading makes me an idiot. Other than not using my truck as a truck, I'm not sure it can be avoided :notsure:

And by the way, I think you meant you're ;)

Why you crying? Pretty sure what was stated was true in regards to the squealing and why you got neutral.

What a troll. Anyway always start with the easy stuff. I would check your belts and bearings before going wild and taking things apart. Remember sounds can resonate and may appear to be coming from the right side.

Probably a rock stuck in the brakes.

Stop. Drive the truck in REVERSE and hit the brakes a few times. This should help dislodge and/or remove the rock/debris.
