    Hi. I own a toyota tacoma 98 2.4L.
I changed my spark plugs yesterday and noticed something uncommon. image.jpg
There's this part of engine leaking from the top. It's loose when i tried to move it. Is it common in these models or i'm having some kind of problem with it? Thanks.

Have you figured it out? If not try the technical section. Sorry I can't help you out with it. Good luck.

it looks like the PCV valve--there should be a HOSE connected to it.
On my 91--it would run rough and stall is it was not connected.

I did connect a hose on it but it still keeps on leaking. Do i need to change it or it'll be fine like this?

    Did you replace the PCV?
If not-pull it out and shake it--does it rattle FREELY?
If it does NOT rattle--replace it or clean it with carb cleaner.
Last time I replaced one--it was cheap.
Keep us posted on your results.

You might look into replacing the rubber grommet that the Pcv valve slides into, might be old and brittle from heat and age. New valve and grommet you should be good to go.
