    if not then don't bother

Looks like you have it covered, water pump is a great idea even if its not leaking yet. Plug wires have nothing to do with that repair lol, he is talking about related items that might as well be done while he is in there. I did see some suggest cam seals but at 90k you should be fine until the next timing belt

As stated above replace them hoses and clamps. Your going to drain the coolant to do pump right. Also make sure to use the correct coolant don't mix the green and red..

my suggestion was aimed at if the OP hadn't done them yet or not in the last maintenance period when they should have been done.

I didn't change my plugs until the 90k mark when i did all the other stuff :p

    Thanks for the replies!

So in addition to the parts I listed I went ahead and ordered the rad hoses and cam seals. Doubt I'll need bearings.

I know my battery cables are newer-ish, not sure how new. PO installed those.
But ordering spark plugs! Not sure when they were last replaced...

    Thanks again!

Only 90K on the idler pulleys? hmm. Check them out when you have it apart. Push in on the face and turn that bearing very slow,,try and feel for hops and skips,,gritty shit,, dryness,,ect. Reverse the procedure by pulling on the face of the pulley. Good import bearings in there,,but doesn't hurt to keep track. Captain Obvious says that any extended belt squeal at all means bad juju. Cut the old belt varnish off of the pulley ribs and sides with Gumout or denatured alcohol,,or your favorite. Some will scuff those pulley face areas lightly with some Emery cloth, 60gr. For better bite.;). Some will blast and repaint the pulleys. The belts can stretch a bit after a few hrs of run in.

    Thanks Mod.

The tensionier pulley was going out. The other pulley between the cams had left a layer of medal dust on the timingbelt cover, so while apart I ordered all three. :( Cleaned the cr/shaft pulley. Thanks for the info.

    Cool.

Save it for a backup for 6 mo, in case the new one decides to crap out.

The rad hoses and clamps was definitely a good add on. Spare hoses also.

Your new belt lined up on the new pulley like it should?. Have seen some incorrect offset replacement pulleys recently. I think they are mashing the bearings in to hard when they rebuild those spendy units. Had a couple wobbler's on different rigs lately.

Wobbley pulleys? Were they toyota or aftermarket? I got all oem stuff, so hopefully it'll all last at least til the next t belt change.
It all lined up as it should, it was a bitch getting the last part of the belt to line up on the crankshaft.

I'm glad you posted your list. I'm about to order parts to do mine.

What's "Water Inlet Gasket"? Is that the water pump gasket?

Aftermarket for Toyota and GM. 3 different idler pulleys. I fixed one on a arbor press,,the other two went back.

You should be gold with the oem stuff.

I always keep a keen eye on all the stuff I checked or touched during and after a coolant deal.

It showed up on a part diagram, but i didnt find it when i had the waterpump off.
So im guessing it wasnt for my engine.

The oem waterpump came with all the needed gaskets.
