Why automatic toyota?

The OP has an auto. He wishes he had a manual. Why? Because they are better. Less parts to break, so they're more reliable. Usually better mpg and power. And they make driving more fun. Honestly I think if you can drive a manual it makes you a better driver. Why do you think big rigs have manuals? Or sports cars? For all of these reasons. Autos suck for towing, high mileage, and the pleasure of driving.

Manuals are fun to drive once in a while, but around here with hills, traffic, and a lot of traffic lights, etc... F that!

 

To each their own. I prefer a manny tranny so I don't purchase autos. Next time be a little more patient when picking out a vehicle.

 

Sorry again youngster, My last "ride", a 2012 Mack was a 6 speed Allison as are the last 10 Granites my old company purchased...They move 65,000-76,000 lbs around 5-6 days a week without breaking a sweat...That truck had 120,000 miles on it when I handed the keys to the next driver and he will ENJOY driving it as much as I did....

And if you look at most OTR rigs you will see they are at least semi-auto if not full auto....You kids and your computer games have shown us "oldies" how to create huge power but sip diesel.....

The same reason they don't offer a V6 in a regular cab. No reason.

 

While Im sure driving habit has a play, the Auto is rated better than the manual in the 1st gen as well. The Auto has a higher OD and a lock up clutch.

 

yep, and most sports cars now are coming with dual clutch autos now with paddle shifters. I loved my 6spd in my STI but also have no issues with the auto in the truck
and also look at most dragsters, most are autos

hah, jk, but seriously, my buddy had a 95.5 manual 3.4l 2wd(non prerunner) taco back in high school n threw on downey springs, 31's, and a locker. was better than the prerunner, no offense..
