OK, I have the rear axle out, and all the assorted pieces sitting on the bench for a week now. I forgot which way the wheel bearing went. I looked at the factory exploded diagram and that got me zilch..

The rear wheel bearing has a flat side and a side with a raised lip on the inside. Which side goes into the hub-side bearing cup? I put it in with the raised side towards the brakes/hub. still on the bench and I'll wait for an answer

    Thanks!

Yup! That pic looks like the flat side goes towards the differential, which is the way I have it now. Looks like I'll be on the road this weekend. It also looks like I'm buying a junkyard axle set to rebuild in my spare time so that the next time this happens I can swap them in an hour or less.

    Thanks again!
