help removing tailgate?!

    hey guys,

    I searched and searched and searched. I cannot find out how to remove the tailgate on my 1st gen. I know with my second gen it was super fast and easy. do you have to remove the support straps and then remove the two bottom bolts on the bottom of the tailgate or does it pop off at a certain angle. please help me out guys.

    The straps just basically pivot out of the way, then 1 bolt on either side of the bottom.
