I have a 1999 2x4 tacoma with a 2.7 4cyl engine with 32" tires. I have the standard open differential and I want more traction while on the trails so I was wondering what is best to maximize traction while on the trail. I have some pretty good tires but was also wondering about which lockers are best, keep in mind this is my DD.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Not sure what you are looking for. The last thread pretty much covered it.

A trick I used to do is ride the brake when my wheels are slipping/spinning. Not sure if it helped but ppl used to swear that riding the brakes helps transfer power from the free spinning wheel to the wheel with traction... (kind of like a limited slip). I see you have 2wd, maybe use your e-brake when one wheel is spinnnig.

Other than that, air down, get a limited slip diff (good) or locker (better), and consider a 4wd conversion (or trade in for a 4wd truck) if you are serious about offroading.
