2004 tacoma single cab 4x4 2.7 5 speed. Only has 55,000 miles on her. Garage kept and is in excellent condition inside and out. Won't go lower then $11,000. I have plans to go buy it this weekend but the tech I work next to said its way to much money bc it's a single cap and manual locks and windows so it's limitations.

The wife thinks it's to much but tells me to do what I feel is right.

It seems a bit high to me, but with that low of mileage that may be a decent price. For that kind of money I would expect the truck to be in near perfect condition. It looks like a base model truck too.

When was that picture taken? Green grass and leaves on trees?

I am very picky about my vehicles, so that doesn't seem like an outrageous price for a top quality truck.

You may be able to get a new one for not much more of a payment.

Before you buy it look it over for rust and frame rust especially. Also take it for a test drive. But I would recommend you get cash for it since money definitely speaks to people. Offer them 9k and if they don't take it then walk.

as long as the frames clean, I would buy it. I had a 2002 just like it, one of the best trucks ever made.

I know all about the rust I work on them everyday and I already ran the vin in our TIS (Toyota information system) and the frame checked out and is covered till 2019. This guy is very picky and replaced the bumpers because of dings. The price was $12,000 and he said he would do $10,500 with used tires he had or 11 with the brand new tires he just put on it. The truck is worth $10,450 on kbb. So yes it top dollar. It's an sr5 model.

    Pros:
    Low mileage
    Garaged
    No Body or frame rust

    Cons:
    10 years old
    Base model, no options.

The price is probably fair for what the truck is, but is it right for your situation? Spending $11k on a 10-year old truck may not be the best plan when for a little more $ you can get into something newer with a few more miles. A lot of banks don't like to loan that much on a vehicle that old, too. But if you're paying cash that's a non-issue. Not knowing your situation I can't tell you what you should and shouldn't spend your $$ on.
But if you want it, go for it.

I am paying cash as I just got my check from my buy back from Toyota. I found this . Seems like it's to cheap for a certified but I'm thinking if I put the $11000 on this I would have cheap payments and it's loaded

    OP, buy it

It probably is a bit on the high side, but at 55K, you can put 15K miles on it every year for 20 years and it would still likely be purring like a kitten at the end of that time frame.

Like someone else said, its practically a brand new truck. A new 2014 reg cab 4x4 would cost you about $20-$22K OTD and probably wouldnt be different enough to justify a $10K+ difference.

How is it lifted? If it is spacers and blocks, and the cv angles are bad, there might be more issues later on than anticipated.

I miss my 2004 2.7 4x4 stick shift. Loved that truck. I'd say buy it. If it drives right, treated like the owner's own child, no rust... If you put down $10k down on a $21k truck, you'd be making payments of $220 a month for 5 years on the balance and have a newer version of the same truck. I'd buy it if it checks out and have no monthly payments.

Pay the $11k and get the brand new tires. It's a fairly good deal if it's as clean as you said.

There is no lift, I wouldn't buy a lifted truck. I have had my fair share of them and I know all to well what it dose to the suspension, drive train, steering angles so on and so on.

Jesus, that thing looks immaculate. My only hesitation about buying that truck is that its in TOOOO good a condition, and I wouldnt want to wear it out, get it dirty, etc.

edit: thats why I love my 96 - I can park it anywhere, drive it through anything and not worry about another ding or scratch.

Yes it is immaculate!! I spoke with the guy a couple times and I can tell he isn't a B/S er. He is also only the second owner, old man traded it in and he bought it from a dealer and sent me pic of the window sticker. He has another 99 and drives his work trucks every day so this just sits and that's why he is selling it

I lied there is a one inch spacer in the front to level the truck out. Nothing that will hurt it.

    You've already decided.

Go buy it before someone else does and you end up kicking yourself.
