    Hello All,

I did research, well as much as I could to ensure I could use 265/75/r16 tires on my stock Tacoma. I picked up some 1 inch BORA spacers on a recent group buy, the used tires(my brother in law bought new ones these still had plenty of tread until I could buy new ones), and 16x8 Land Cruiser wheels from the late 90s.

The back ones of course went on fine even without the spacers. I finally put the front ones on, spacers first! I went to move the truck...and massive rub. I thought removing just the mud flaps would help, but it still rubs. It rubs at about half turn towards the back of the inner fender.

    Any thoughts?

-I have been on the fence waiting for funds to buy a 2/3 lift from Toyotec, would this help?

-Do I hack up inner fender?

-Being these are LC 16 inch wheels, is the 1 inch spacer too much?

Before I go monkeying around too much I thought I would ask for some help.

    Thanks in advance!

get a lift I got 265/75/16 on my dblcab 4x4 with level 8 guardian rims and they only rub if I'm turning slowly it doesn't rub when taking corners at speed get actual good rims instead of hand me downs

Also was going to mention that you'll rub less there without the wheel spacers, but you might then rub the frame at full lock.

It's got to be the wheels & or spacers. Together they prob don't help the matter. My 265/75/16 tires don't rub at all (flaps still on) on my TRD bling ring wheels.

I just put on 265/70/17, basically the same size tire but in 17 in rims and I didn't use wheel spacers and I have no rubbing. It comes real close to those UCAs though but I haven't seen any rubbing on those.

My 02 doublecab started to rub with 265/75/16 after running the same size tires for years. I replaced the worn out stock springs and shocks and havnt had a problem since.

Sounds like pinch weld mod is the best start to fix the problem. I just hope it's enough as I really like the look of the 16x8 forged LC wheels, but I think that extra inch might be adding to the problem.

I am slowly building up the truck, the next step will be a mild 2-3 inch on all four corners, then new tires. This is my back up truck to my DD, so I am not in a rush to get this done.

    Thanks again for your help!

    Sean
