I have personally never heard of these. After looking at them they definitely catch my eyes, if you are referring to the G.E.A.R covers ?

I've sold a few sets to the Jeep guys. They are definitely a cool cover. Maybe I'll have to see how they fit on my Tacoma seats when I'm at work tomorrow.

Apparently they make a universal seat cover but I'm not sure on the quality... reviews online have me with mixed emotions.

They will interfere with the air bags in your seats, I don't know what would happen if the air bag deployed and had no where to deploy to? this is on the second gen Tacoma of course!

I don't know about y'all but if you live in the city they would also catch the eye of would be thiefs. I like to be as unassuming as possible and these seat covers scream "cool things to steal".

True and I'm not sure how practical it would be to access the pouches while sitting in the driver seats anyway. Point noted.

I use them, best seat cover I've used yet. Super durable. I have the ones for the 07 and up JK's as they have the big buckles instead of the lace sides.

DO NOT GET THE LACE SIDE SEAT COVERS!!

I have a set, I only use them on trips when I'm by myself, because I put them on the passenger seat backwards. With the molle bags facing towards the dash. I have small items in the bags to access while driving.

You bet! The buckles are sooo much better. And the bottom part fits really good actually. You just have to stretch the bungee cord under your seat and hook it up near the rear of the seat. (In order for the bottle to fit snug and not move around).

Ill get a picture up later when I get home. Or you can go through my build thread. I believe that are closer to the beggining of it. Maybe page 2-4?

Thanks man, I love the way they look and with the access cab storage space is few and far between so something that can add to that space is great. thanks for your input i really appreciate it, now to talk the misses into letting me get them :ballchain:

The G.E.A.R. covers are cool but they are designed for Jeep seats and don't fit the Tacoma seats very well. In order to get them to fit tight and not slide around you have to cinch the straps down very tight which puts strain on the seams and they will eventually tear apart. That sucks for seat covers that cost you $100 a piece.

I tried the other Smittybuilt "Carryall" seat that have some good features but they are a cheaper material and don't have the molle sections on the back but do have a variety of pockets. I've been running them for about a year. I've been impressed with how well they've held up. I didn't think they'd last past 6 months. At ~$40 they are much easier to handle the cost vs the $100 ones. And they have a slightly different design so they fit better.

I will note that I have different seats in my Tacoma but this will give you an idea what how they work.
