Hey guys, I have a 04 Tacoma that is throwing catalytic converter codes. It went to Toyota and they found a head gasket leak. They think antifreeze ruined the converter. I had the gasket replaced and the check engine light is still on of course. Since the truck runs perfect(no loss of power or bad fuel mileage) I am assuming the front converter is ok. I came across a Underdog racing o2 simulator and installed it thinking that would take care of a bad rear converter. Nope check engine light came back on. Now i am wondering i it is the front converter. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I just ordered a Magnaflow direct fit front for my 04 and got the urd simulator for the rear and deleted the cat. I did some research and it looked like the magnaflow was about the best for the price range. No way could I afford to drop the coin Toyota quoted me for an OEM cat. And if you don't live in NY or CA the cats are cheaper.

I'm getting an emmisions code as well. Was going to try the URD o2 sensor sim. It just plugs in line with the rear o2 sensor, right?

Yea the plug for the sensor is under the passenger seat. Just remove the door sill trim, pull back the carpet, reach under the seat and there it is. Just unplug the sensor and plug the URD between the plug.
