The race car burns 2.2-2.7 gallons per burnout and 1/4 pass. Is that bad?. Only $1100 for 55 gallons(VP116Nos).

A huge amount of things. I need a MAJOR tune up. I need a new air filter housing. The housing itself has holes in it from the previous owner and the pipe that goes from the housing to the throttle body (i think) has separated from the housing (supposed to be one piece). Pair that with the aftermarket Mass Air Flow Sensor that a stupid mechanic put in cause he got a good price on it and the fact that my tires are dry rotted and very low on tread and the U-Joints in my tranny needs replacement. I actually did a test. I got a GPS app on my phone that would register acceleration, average speed, current speed, and miles driven. I had a 1/4 of a tank. I drove until the needle hit E which was 30 miles later with an average of 18 mph. I NEVER take it on the highway unless its necessary because of this. I got quoted for a complete tune up from Toyota for $3406.68. I told them, I'd might as well trade mine in for a new one.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
2001 DCSB 3.4 and I get 220 per tank (15.7 avg. gal/ fill up). I'm hoping the P0420 code has something to do with my bad gas mileage so when I do get new cats and 02 sensors hopefully my average MPG will increase by a couple

It's better for fuel pump life to not run the tank extremely close to empty. The fuel doubles as a cooling agent in the case of the fuel pump and lower fuel levels cause decreased cooling to take place. The only place I can see it mattering how far a tank will get you is if you are going way out in the wilderness and don't have access to enough jerry cans for the extra fuel needed.

300 seems good. I usually get anywhere from 280 to 310.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
If I'm easy on the skinny pedal I can get about 16mpg I don't so its less on most fill up's. That's a supercharged 3.4 on 37x12.50's with 5.29 gears.

    Hi,

Just filled up bluTaco, dcsb Prerunner, TRD cai, 265/65-17 Goodyear Silent Armor @35 psi, all cold weather, 160lbs ballast in box, all short trips, mostly six miles, a few at 15-20 miles, no warm ups, no idling, 10% corn squeezings, 285.8 on the trip odo, 16.01 gallons= 17.85. I think that is very acceptable.
