So this has been bothering me for awhile. I'm talking about these outlets

Ever since I took my lower dash apart to paint it, the outlet on the right (passenger side) has not worked since reassembling.

The wiring harness can only clip on one way, and yes it is attached.

Are these two outlets on separate fuses? It's just strange that the left one works and the right one doesn't.

Any advice or troubleshooting is greatly appreciated.

Swap lighter elements. Follow the 2 wires from the defective receptacle back to where it joins the connector and make sure you have a good connection, both in back of the receptacle and in the connector itself.

Like said above you can swap the wires on the back of the two receptacles to see if the problem follows or just test the wires with a meter to see if its getting 12v. If it is then its the receptacle. If not then the next thing would be to use the meter to check the continuity between the ends of the wires to tell you if it has a wire that got cut or pulled apart somewhere. I imagine the wires Y to go to both receptacles somewhere and if it isn't a bad one then the wires pulled loose from the Y.
