Another recall

Don't know how many 1st Gens this will affect:

Tacoma is mentioned and as well as production dates starting in April of 2004. Not sure when the switch over to 2nd Gen was.

 

I have a 2004, ran the VIN and didn't come up with any recalls.

 

Time to get a Nissan?

 

Toyota is the most efficient manufacturer in the world.

They've employed Lean and Six Sigma for many years. Considering how many more vehicles they produce and sell compared to Nissan, I really wouldn't be worried.

 

Nissan recalling 990k vehicles...go ahead.

 

my '04 was made in January of '04 in Cali plant

Not to be nitpicky,,but hiding info about a faulty part does not instill confidence or prompt plus sales. They fined them for being slow to report,,but they did report at least. 1.2B is a good slap, and it put them on there toes about getting that info out quicker. Lets hope they learned.
