I have the same truck (1999 with 2.7 and 3 inch lift) and am running equivalent to a 33 inch tire. I have Treadwright Warden tires on my truck and LOVE them. They cost a lot less comparatively, and I have about 7k miles on them, and they look brand new still. I wheel this thing a good bit and you can ask the guys that hit the trails with me, they grip pretty dang good for an AT (tread pattern nearly identical to BFG AT KO tires) and they self-clean the mud pretty good as well. Might be worth a look for you. bought a set of 5 for less than $650, including shipping.

Treadwright also makes some really awesome MTs. Guarddogs are VERY popular.

Then you have the "Backbone 2" Mud tire

Treadwright has several more MT tires to choose from. They have great customer service, and awesome prices overall. Just something to consider while you look around.

For 33's they're like 190 on the sight i'm looking at. 32's are cheap af though. i'm getting them in size 30 for 130 each

Maxxis bighorn, so you can find them elsewhere

Homebrew bumpers and sliders, 5100s & Eibachs up front and mutt leaf pack out back, 285s & Wheelers type B, sway bar deleted. Wife's ride: 01 4Runner 4wd sport. Stock with exception of TRD taco coils, and shift kit.
I just got these a few months ago in 285/75r16s from a small shop for 200 each installed OTD. Road manners they seem fine but do have some road noise. It doesn't bother me but would others. Played on a few small rock obstacles a few weeks ago and they did fine but do squat when aired down a lot more than my load range E's in 265/75r16 did. Hoping to try them out in some sand/mud here in the near future.

I did have to do the pinch weld mod and went on ahead and trimmed a little of the fender back just to be safe.

Go for the Hankooks, had them on my 4Runner and loved them. Wear was fantastic and hooked up awesome on the trails.

I would steer clear of KM2's the ones on my taco are dry rotting after just 3 years...

    Sweet!

Gotta remember, 4 runners have more equal weight all around if you think about it. I looked at the hankooks also for my truck but i'm just saying weight distribution will differ. Probably great tires though.

And with the km2's, that could pertain to where you live, or how you treat them. i've heard great reviews but haven't seen one regarding them dry rotting.. were they brand new from manufacture or "brand new" from the tires in the back of the shop, could differ. idk
