So I made the decision that I'm not going up in tire size. I like the clearance my truck has to offer. My question: would 3.73's need to be upgraded for max performance with 30" tires? Thought about 3.90's or something in that range but not even sure if I need it.

What size engine and tranny? I have 265/70R16 (basically 31"x10.5) with a 3RZ, manual and 3.91 gears. Its geared okay for highway economy but s-l-o-w. I'd prefer 4.10 with this setup.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. I have a 2.4 with auto tranny. I want power back so I was thinking of the ones you listed.

it is probably not worth the cost to go from 3.73 to 3.9 or whatever to run 30" tires...
