1st gen utility topper options?

Hi everyone.

I recently purchased a 2004 tacoma xtra cab. I am using for my company vehicle for a small electrical contracting company. I can't seem to find anyone who is selling a utility topper for the 1st gen models. Any thoughts? I found exactly what I am looking for but in the second gen model. I was reading how the second gen's box is slightly smaller. Was thinking of trying to make it work. Maybe weld on an additional medal strip where the topper needs more width. Thoughts? I am looking for one with side access and the back door that goes all the way down(with removed tail gate). Any experience or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

A.R.E. I know makes a model for the 1st gens where you remove the tailgate, giving you a door in it place.
