how to deal with paint oxidation.

I went out and waxed my truck yesterday. Still looks pretty good for being almost 14 years old. But the roof is now starting to fade and show signs of oxidation. I was thinking that a good buff with buffing compound might solve the problem. Anyone tried other stuff that works well?

I think your clearcoat may be gone, hard to tell without pics, but that would be my guess. If your clear coat is gone there may not be much you can do then.

I was afraid that might be the case. It isn't that noticeable since its a light brown color. Hopefully by the time it gets super bad, I will have bought a newer one.
