Has anyone done it to their tacoma? I just bought a power tailgate lock because I go out to my damn truck about 500000000000000 times a day and it got me thinking how expensive/difficult it would be to do a kit. Honestly I have enough solenoids and control devices laying around from my job to do it but I want something designed for this and if i had to give a serious estimate of how many times I lock/unlock or open close my tailgate and wish I could lock it the number is above an average of 2 dozen/day

probably would just need the module, power actuators, and key fobs? no clue as mine came with but shouldn't be too hard to find the added pieces

yeah thats what i was thinking but im having trouble finding the parts. after doing some more research on the aftermarket kits I really want to do this one OEM at least for the module and key fob.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
I just had the stereo shop put in actuators when they installed the alarm. I think it was like $40/side extra but worth it.

I mean if Im going to do anything Im going to do it myself because I am adament about doing all electrical on my truck myself. I could very easily pick up a $35 kit on ebay for 2 doors that comes with the junkiest remote on the face of the planet but I really want to do this with the OEM module and fob if I can. As for the actuators, I could care less what those are, but I want to go as genuine parts as i can

start hitting up the FSM and see what parts you will need, then try to find local junk yards or eBay and see if anyone is selling the ecu/actuators/wiring
