Frame questions?

What year trucks have what style frames.... I thought my 96 was a c channel up front and a c channel in the back... At least that's what trail gear had me believing due to the frame boxing kits they sell for the 1st gen trucks.... Keep in mind it's been a while since I've gone under my truck till today.... Fully boxed frame under mine.... Sooo what frames were under what year trucks?

 

The frames are boxed from the forward leaf mount to somwhere near the LCA's. Its C-channel front and rear of that.

 

I thought the frames where fully boxed on the first gens back to the back of the front leaf spring hangers. I know they sell kits to stiffen the small frame in the front for a SAS

 

Its a quasi-gussetted C channel on the back 1/3 of the frame. I installed a hitch today in the rear and the receiver frame is thicker steel than the truck frame.

 

Then mine has been modified cause it's a solid box frame from face to ass

 

Anyone interested in a trail gear front frame reinforcement kit? I ordered one thinking my truck wasn't boxed... It will be here tomorrow

 

So I was looking at my frame again today it is c channel in the back.... Lol I talked to trail gear they said my truck would only need front reinforcement if I did a SAS on it.... So I have front if anyone actually needs it or if all the 1st gen frames are not the same and someone has c channel up front I gotta hook up for you... Will have to get a rear box kit one of these days

 

I did the same thing. The way they gusset the rear c channel, it looks like its boxed.
