I'm looking to buy the ToyTec Bilstein Adjustable lift kit with 5100 shocks 1995-2004 Tacoma but I have a 2.7 4cyl and in the description it says it's not recommended because of the ride quality and that i might get more height. Wanted to know if the ride is that bad and if it's going to do any damage to my tacoma. I'm thinking about buying it anyway. If anyone who has this lift with a 2.7 4 banger let me know if it's worth it. Thanks

ive only been running it for a few weeks now on a reg cab and i dont think the ride is too stiff at all, i think it rides great. if they dont recommend it because of the angles on the cv's i understand that but dont care if i have to replace them more often.

throw the Toytec diff drop in it and that should reduce the angle

5100's w/ stock coils work by raising the bottom coil seat on the shock, thereby adding preload to the coil

4bangers don't have as much weight to compress/preload the coil, so the notches on the shock body will give more lift than the normal "estimates"

    It's a 2x4 so I wouldn't need the diff drop kit

Apparently it would add stress on the cv joints and ball joints which could wear them out and cause problems. I'll probably end up buying the kit and just swap out the ball joints later on.
