Is this high pitch ticking sound normal?

    1996 Toyota Tacoma XtraCab and 250k miles. This sound is new to me -- seems to happen when the truck is warm -- don't hear it on a cold start.

    I do have a CEL for p0420 of which i'm also investigating, but I think this sound is unrelated to the other.

    any chance theres a baffle in the muffler or lart of the cat coming loose and rattling once the exhaust builds heat??????

    From what I can see the cat looks solid & in tact. I'm not sure about the muffler baffle.

    Manual or auto? I'm manual and have a similar noise, maybe a little higher pitched. For me it's definitely the throwout bearing.

    Sounds like a water pump, but could be transmission input bearing or motor mount.
