I just replaced the A/F Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1) because of a p0031 CEL. Good news is the CEL cleared. Bad news is one of the studs stripped

I got a new stud from ACE but the section that goes into the exhaust is 1/4" longer than stock. I'm probably overthinking it but will this be okay?

how much thread engagement is there? if its 1/4" or more you should be fine.

4Runner Trail wheels and Toyo Open Country ATII tires 265-70-17. Cosmetic stuff like Pro grille and OffRoad black bumper trim, vinyl delete on side, added hood graphic, OEM tube steps.

Just went through this today. But my stud broke flush with the pipe. Had to remove it and have it drilled out. The nut holding the pipe to the manifold also froze to the stud and semi trashed the the threads in the manifold. I cleaned them up with a tap coming in from the backside of the manifold and installed a new stud.

Just an FYI, I believe that I fixed a P0171 code (lean exhaust) by replacing the air fuel ratio sensor. Most people seem to attribute that code to a faulty MAF but it seems it was not the problem in my 2000 PreRunner 2.7L.

you couldnt get a die around it? i wish that happend to me, but my recent situation was the stud snapped and was stuck inside with no way to get it out unless i drilled. couldnt fit a drill in there so i'll have to eventually pull the entire y-pipe out(im running headers)
