Alright so halfway through our 1700 mile cross country drive... the fiancé was driving, I was half asleep just relaxing. We were cruising at 70 in the middle lane. (no traffic stopping or merging) She suddenly looked up in the mirror with worry and floored it?!? It was followed by a pretty hard impact from behind. I don't know how fast he was going but the hit was pretty hard. He literally just drove straight into us. She said it looked like he was texting(his phone was broke after the crash). I was loose from not knowing what was happening so I was fine. The fiancé apparently tensed up and took the hit pretty hard. Paramedics took her to the hospital for x rays and ct scans(she is all good).

So onto the important part! the truck looks great for a 70 mph crash but I know the frames are easily damaged from rear end collisions. The bumper is screwed up and I can clearly tell the mounting bracket is bent. The rear quarter panel has a ding(no biggie). The frame to my eye looks good, All mounts on the frame are still welded and I cant see any visual bends or dings. The concering part is the cab has kinks on each side, I don't know if its from the bed hitting it or just pressure from the impact. The bed to cab gap is normal on both sides. The bed looks normal everywhere. The axle and suspension looks good. I had to drive the truck the final 600 miles and it felt fine (its an old truck it never drove smooth)

Basically, should I be concerned for the frame? I don't know when I can geat it looked at but would hope its fine so I can use this as a chance to get some new bumpers.

First, glad you and your fiancee are unhurt.:)
Second, had to chuckle at the pic of the Honda,

You're frame likely flexed enough to push the bed into the cab, probably isn't bent but still worth having it checked out. Whatever body shop you visit for the other damages should be able to look it over.

Yeah, your bed to cab lines don't line up. Agree on pro looking it over. Glad you both weren't injured.

If the frame bent it will probably be an insurance write-off. It's possible the box mounts all bent, hard to say without taking measurements.
