I've read a few threads but none were for 2001-2004 1st gens. Can I stick a 600# fourwheeler in the bed of my truck? Stock leafs and 5100s in the back. How much am I going to sag? Thinking about hauling my friends out to ride.

Highly doubt an ATV can fit between the wheel arches in the bed. Take a look at my signature pic. That's 12 sheets or 3/4 plywood. Don't know exactly how many lbs it is, but roughly the same if not more as your 600 lb atv. That's about how much it will squat. *Edit: Forgot you have upgraded rear shocks. Will squat less

I'll have to ask for measurements, hopefully it will work.

Upgraded shocks do nothing for supporting weight. Only give a better quality ride. Leaf springs are what support the weight in the rear.

I've have over 1000 lbs of scrap steel in my bed and I was an inch away from the bumps. And I'm on really bad worn leafs. Also, shocks don't do anything to boost load capacity. That's all leaf spring. Shocks just prevent bounce

I hauled an older Honda. I think it was a foreman 400? It fit fine. Just be carful about the back glass( used a piece of 4x4 between the four wheel and back of bed) and don't press it too hard against the back of the bed it is weak and will bend. I also have shocks and leafs that are very worn out and it seemed to do fine, but it wasn't a very big or fourwheeler.

That wood is 900lbs in my pic plus some concrete underneath that so I'll say over 1000 lbs. 600 should be no issue. You can roll with the tailgate down if it cant fit in between the wheel arches. Just make sure to strap it down good.

The weight isn't an issue at all. My Honda 250cc just fits though. So you may have an issue with it fitting

My 2014 Polaris 570 fits in the back just fine. Only issue is I can't put the rear tailgate up. Other than that the truck rides great With no issues.

Homebrew bumpers and sliders, 5100s & Eibachs up front and mutt leaf pack out back, 285s & Wheelers type B, sway bar deleted. Wife's ride: 01 4Runner 4wd sport. Stock with exception of TRD taco coils, and shift kit.
I've had my 91 Suzuki 250 (my google fu says it's about 500 lbs) parked on a 1/3 bed full of wood with coolers of beer and two chicks inside with me. At the time had stock leafs and lift shackles and 255/85/16s. I couldn't put my foot between the tire and fender... Had a short maybe 10 mile drive like that.

    Still running those leafs today.

If you can fit it in the bed, it will be just fine. Just be careful depending on the terrain you are driving on. I hauled a lot of firewood last year in my tacoma on some pretty rough roads and it was fine. I have dakar leafs in the rear.

Not sure what brand/model of the 4-wheeler (not mine), but it fit with the tail gate up. :D
