    Hey guys,

So a couple of weeks ago I had posted a forum about wet carpet in my truck.
Today when I was installing new xtra cab window latches, I decided to pull up the carpet and I found that the source of the water was most likely from a rubber piece covering a hole that goes out of the truck... Since there was water around that gasket/ rubber thing What would be the best way of fixing it?

Well, its not my AC, cause the passenger side is dry as a bone. The firewall grommet area looks fine. And the water is centralized around that drain, it gets drier towards where the wires are coming from the firewall. I guess just use silicon and seal it, let the carpets dry out too?

Seems weird for water to come up through the floor grommet, unless you park in deep puddles.
I ran a dehumidifier in my truck for a few hours to dry the carpet when it got wet. Just lifted it with a block so air could get to the underside.

Yeah thats true, it is possible that the carpet just keeps getting wet and then staying wet. I mean pulled off the grommet to see if was messed up and it looked fine. The frame is right there so really how much water can get up there? Idk, Ill let it dry out though

The other place that sometimes lets water in is the door seal. It will run down the channel and onto the floor where it will pool.
Pull the carpet up, run a garden hose around the door and see if you can see water creeping in.

Doesn't take a lot for the carpet to get soaked, especially if it rains for a day or two.

the best way to seal the grommets is atv/silicone sealant. I know you already figured out the water source, but just answering the question about fixing a leaky grommet.

I still will seal the floor grommet to be sure, and the firewall one as well. It has been raining a lot lately, and another thing was for a long time I have had rubber mats and any moisture will get trapped under there.I am not entirely sure about the door leak, but I think its very possible
