wondering how often I should expect my upper ball joints to stay lubricated, is it normal to need to add grease about once a month or every 700ish miles. If its not normal could it be a sign that my front shocks are beat to hell and need replacing?

Do you see any traces of dampness around the upper ball joint? The metal retaining clip could be on there wrong causing the grease to leak out. Hell you could even have a hole in the boot somewhere.
