Will 2005 TRD rims fit on my 96

I have searched with no success. Wondering if the 05+ trd rims fit without rubbing control arms on my 1996 tacoma.

 

Ok thanks for the reply guess I will just have to cut the center cap for the manual hubs. Can you post a pic of yours.

 

Center caps just snap in and snap out.

In short. 2nd gen on 1st gen is good. 1st gen wheels on 2nd gen truck isn't so good.

 

And why is that?

I see thank you. I have the 16 1 st gens and they fit the 2nd gen That is why i was wondering.

 

Is there any particular lug but that would be the best and look the best with theses wheels ?

 

Ok ten four I will check wheelers off-road I am sure they have some. I got miss matched lugs now

 

you can find a set on ebay for around $40 for all 24. or make a post in the buy/sell/trade section and I'm sure someone has a set laying around that they are not using.


1st gens had 4 rims 2x 15" (1 steel, 1 aluminum), 2x 16" (1 steel, 1 aluminum). the two 16" would work fine but probably not the 15" due to the caliper

Got the tires and rims on not to sure about the tires though might end up going to 285 and a more aggressive tire. Thinking about the pro comp a/t or Yokohama m/t. Any opinions on these 2 tires looking to stay with an 8 ply tire.

 

The old truck has come along ways.

 

Just wish I could find nice alloy wheel for my 2000 5 lug...there is nothing!
