I'm on a super low budget but I finally found a topper for a DC. It's a newer model ARE but the only problem is my truck is lunar mist and this topper is dark green. Is it expensive to get painted? Would an autobody shop do it?

    (I bought it for $250)

    Pretty much stock right now
I'm sure they will. I got an estimate on mine, but never did it. Actually, mine is your color, but my truck is black sand pearl. I don't remember the price quoted. I would even do all the prep work. I may still do it, but have to get an update on the quote.

I'm getting a quote tomorrow, so I will have a ballpark and let you know.

$250 is a great price. Wish I could find one for that cheap for my DCSB. Can't be picky on color because it's always hard to find the color you need

I got quoted for 500 to re paint a tonneau cover, that included prep. For the price it was better for me to wait for the right one to pop up.

After searching CL for 8 months I found a used snugtop for $225. I had it painted black at Maaco for 280 and didnt do any prep work myself. I got quotes for 800 and 750 from a couple top quality shops and 375 at another Maaco.

The Maaco I went with just switched owners, perhaps they were trying to drum up business. The quote sheet said $370, they discounted $90 contingent on me coming in the next day. It looks good and was done in 2 days. Im in Oregon.
