I have searched and searched but cant really find an answer. I know its debated whether or not UCAs are needed for 1st gen lifts <3" for alignment (only have slightly poor caster) which I am not concerned about.

Would a set of LR UCAs put less strain on the upper ball joints? My uppers are shot and I'm looking at around $100 (OEM) for a set of replacement ball joints. I'm lifted just under 3" and I don't want to waste $100 and my time if they are just going to be beat out quickly when I could spend $400 and get some LR UCAs.

Don't care about alignment, only want to know if upper ball joints will last longer in an aftermarket UCA.

I don't run LR's (I have total chaos) but pretty sure LR UCAs use a different from stock ball joint and most definitely would last longer

Does anyone have close up pictures of their upper ball joints on LR UCA with a 2.5-3" lift?
Maybe I can compare to what mine looks like (pretty extreme angle)

I'm kind of stuck on LR because of their price and I've heard uniball style aren't so great in wintery places.

I am aware. Hence my choosing them over a uniball
