4x4 prerunner model?

    Not sure if this image uploaded right, but today I saw a tacoma pulling into my neighborhood, wearing both the prerunner badge, and 4x4 mudflaps, is this an oxymoron on wheels, or an actual 4x4 prerunner?

    It does have the stainless steel exhaust that TRDs have, but no. There is no such thing as a prerunner 4X4 besides the handful of people who have swapped the front end.

    He finished the 4x4 mud flap mod before he got around the the pre-runner de-badge mod.

    Or got his tail gate stolen and didn't give a shit that the replacement was stolen from a pre-runner.

    Incorrect. TRD's have stainless steel exhaust. All others have aluminized mild steel.

    Exhibit A: This is the NON-stainless steel exhaust on my 08Prerunner
