I just got this PRDC last weekend and the tires are probably good for another 10,000/12,000. I really want to replace them with the Michelin LTX M/S 2 in a 245/75/16. I will rarely see any off road other than at the lease or farm and then it is very little, I generally use the Rhino for that. My question is two fold, will the slightly shorter height hurt and will it look stupid? It currently has the Yokohama Geolanders on it and while they are fairly quiet, they ride atrocious and they have little traction on wet roads, especially at the beginning of a good rain. The wife's Tahoe has the Michelin LTX M/S 2 now on it and the last set(previous version of the LTX M/S) she got nearly 80,000 miles on them and they were still super quiet and still had plenty of grip on wet and slushy roads.

Funny, everyone else wants to go from the 245 to the 265 when I searched it, I guess I am the only oddball. This is my DD and hunting vehicle, so mpgs are important.

    Thanks for any help!

it'll just have smaller tires and as long as you didn't lift it it won't look too weird.

In my door frame, the original tire size was 225/75/15 I believe, so it wont look too bad.

Your vehicle will love the new ride. I got 75,000 on my Michelin Ltx's. I haul wood in fall, winter, snowy roads, wet roads, serious hunting trails with 0 problems. Best tire for real life to me! Hope this helps you with your decision. Plus they are slightly bigger than stock.
