I bought a 2000 tacoma with 30x9.50r15 tires and suspect its had this size or stock size its entire life. I'm right at 145k now on what I assume is the stock clutch. If I upgrade to 31x10.50 will it hurt the clutch. I know its about time to change it but I don't want to until I really need to. Clutch is still strong.

No I run 31x10.50x15. All I have ever had on the truck. I also had heavy mud terrain tires. Clutch will be fine if you don't ride it.

Bigger tires basically have the same efect as taller gears. That will cause the clutch to work harder. Though it may wear a little faster, I doubt the clutch would be damaged.

Not that much difference here. Yes an inch taller and wider. But actually very close to stock.

I used to smoke my clutch a lot more when I had 33s grabbers that were 70lbs without the rim... climbing and sand smoked the clutch a few times, I tend to be hard on clutches though... anyways now that I went back to 31 ATs I havent smoked the clutch since....
