TINTED OUT

Does anybody else have dark tint on there toyota

I like being able to see

 

5% on mine all the way around

 

2.5 on the back, 5% on the front windows, sunroof double layer in 5%, windshield at 50% and 8 inch strip of 5%. All Legal

 

Jesus.. There's no way that can be legal. Lol. You do know they make blackout stuff right? Just get that. And mount cameras outside everywhere! Lol, just kidding
I would like to get at least 5% back on my doors. But I don't wanna mess with the cops bugging me bout it. Plus my truck being black, 35% on doors already appear darker. I got 5% everywhere else and a windshield strip. Wanted to do the, I think it's called crystalline, film on the windshield to help keep out some heat being in az..

 

I just sprayed plastidip over all of my windows and a couple light coats over my windshield...

I thought mine was dark double 5% rear window 5% sides and tint strip 35% on windshield

 

I'm not sure about your state, but in Florida the law is 28% or lighter on the front two windows, 15% or lighter on any back side windows, and you don't even need a back window (paint it black). This website says 15% on the back window http://tintlaws.com/florida-window-tint-law.php but I was told by a cop it doesn't matter. The windshield strip can be 6% or lighter as well, but it is completely illegal to tint the windshield.

CA is weak, can't touch the front driver/passenger windows and windshield. That said, the cops usually don't harass you if you stick to ~30% on the front passenger/driver windows. I have the OEM "privacy" tint on the rear window and rear side windows (assuming its OE), and matched that shade (seems to be around 30%) on the side windows and went 50% on the windscreen as its hardly perceivable but blocks a lot of the light energy.

Peeps, I highly highly recommend windshield tint at 50% with a quality tint, its hardly perceivable so shouldn't be an issue in states that don't allow tint- I don't even use those windshield screens anymore, that you fold out and put up when you park.

15% on factory tinted glass and 5% on two fronts. Makes it about 3.5% all the way around. 15% tint strip on windshield.

 

Yours is definitely darker lol

Yeah im in the Army, I live like 15 minutes from the CG in Elizabeth City so its convenient for me to go there and get my base sticker haha

Cause apparently tinted windows makes it impossible to drive at night. granted backing up is a lot more challenging but good thing I have a reverse camera
