Changed my coolant a week ago noticed this near what I think is the thermostat hsg, could this be the water pump seeping in this area.

it is POSSIBLE--but since you just changed the fluid--it could be just from the fluid change.
Wipe it clean-give it a couple days-see if it returns.
    v-6?
Check the timing belt replacement post-that will show the location of the pump-just FYI

Mine was doing that just about the timing-belt changeout time (90k).

When I removed the water pump and t-stat, I noticed the o-ring for the t-stat was causing the visual leak and a tiny bit of a leak at the six o'clock under the WP that I wasn't able to see.

How many miles on the truck? When was the water pump last done? What was the new coolant you put in? Red/pink and green doesn't mix well. Orange neither...

67K on the odometer the water pump or belt never changed, if the water pump were leaking is that the area where coolant would seep out?

    thanks

There is a crusty build up of coolant where the arrow was pointed, I chipped some of it away and checked it after I drove it a while and it didn't seem to be moist.

In that case I'd just keep an eye on it and an eye on the rez.

I've had two low mileage 1st gens. Both have had a small seep. Primarily on the engine above the oil filter, between the head and block. I'd scape it away every other oil change, and a little smegma bit would show up after awhile.

As long as your not having to top off the coolant rez, I wouldn't sweat it.

It depends, but it looks more like the t-stat gasket.

From my experience I'd say it's a water pump starting to seep. I've done hundreds of them and they typically start to seep around the housing, though they actually have a seep hole at the six o'clock position. Especially with yours being a 10 year old truck, I wouldn't be surprised at all, even with the low mileage. I believe timing belts are 90k or 8 yrs, according to manufacturer, though I've seen some go upwards of 200k on an original belt.

Probably a good idea to start buying the parts or at least have cash ready so that you can consider doing the full t-belt, w-pump, drivebelts, t-stat job all at once. Don't forget coolant and a thermostat gasket, if it doesn't happen to have one. I did mine a year ago w/full OEM parts and it cost me just under $300 for the entire list.

You could try to R&R the thermostat and gasket to see if that fixes the leak, but you're better off putting that money towards a complete job that is needed in the future anyways. Or for verification, get a spotting mirror (the kind with the extending handle) and a flashlight and check the bottom side of the pump to see if you see any further seeping/leaking.

    Good luck!

Guess I'll watch it for a while, if it continues to leak new belt, pump, hoses,t stat.

Ya, as others have mentioned, just keep an eye on it and you should be fine. I've seen some run till the point where coolant was actually dripping out, rather than just seeping out and drying (like yours is).
