    Hi All,

My 1999 Tacoma 4WD 2.7L XCab with 130,000 miles experiences clutch slipping at low revs. At high revs it tends to engage so I downshift to high revs then up shift to maximize clutch gripping. Likely new clutch time. Should I look at aftermarket clutch parts and non-Toyota repair shop or is a clutch just a clutch:

I have found I can get everything I need ( pressure plate, disc, TO
bearing, release fork, release bearing, and slave cyl. rebuild kit) from
Toyota for ~$300, plus I can pick up a new flywheel from NAPA for $95.99.

I put king shock on last year and love the aftermarket performance.

Need a shop in San Diego.

    Thanks,

    Justin

I installed a Aisin clutch kit, got it from Rockauto.com at a good price. It's a good oem replacement kit. I wanted the upgraded kit from Marlin Crawler but it was out of stock with no eta.
