Fair price

Looking at 1992 Tacoma regular cab 4x4 with automatic 70,000 original miles. What would be good price? Toyota dealer had it traded in and it's listed at 4,951.00. It's in great shape except tears in the seat. Edmunds says around 3k.

 

Most of the used car value sites stop at 1995 so I was taking a shot in the dark.

 

Well NADA has it listed at $4350 (high retail), $3125 (average retail) and $1975 (low retail).

You can print a copy of the NADA guide and take it with you, that way you can negotiate easier. They're way high on their asking price. I'd say somewhere in the neighborhood of the high 3k's is where it should be at if its decent.
