TRD rear end ?

i was wondering if it would make much difference in pulling if i put a trd rear end on my truck or maybe a locker. does it really make that much difference in pulling with a 2wd. thanks for any replies

 

is the rear slipping?

 

pulling as in towing ?

 

with a locker...of any sort really, traction is way better then an open diff, but only in offroad type terrain...not on a normal road or snow. lockers are great. of course, an lsd is best for normal driving.

 

yeah i mean in towing and pulling in sand or mud. just curious of what i could do with it not being 4wd.

If anything since your 2wd, I would vote LSD.

 

Just a quick testament to the value of a locker. This morning I needed to back a 16' trailer up a slight hill in my back yard, over slightly damp grass with clay soil. 2wd wouldn't budge it, due to tire spin. Tried 4wd. Same thing. Then 4wd low range and kicked in the locker. She moved right up the hill with no complaints.
