I recently installed a hitch receiver and no longer needed the bumper mounted hitch ball. Maybe it's just me but I spent two days Googling and could not find a replacement cap for the hole left behind in my bumper. I see them in pictures on Tacoma trucks but no part number available and I didn't see any discussion of them ANYwhere. There are some for Dodge trucks on ebay but they are way too big.

Later in the day I was adding a hose sprayer to my kitchen sink when I realized the hole cover on the sink was exactly the size I needed. The stem needs to be cut down to fit, but it works great and is available at your neighborhood hardware store for less than $4.

Just wanted to share this little tip in case anyone else out there is looking. Best part is, if you care about aesthetics it blends with the chrome bumper perfectly. We will see how it holds up to UV exposure over time, it seems to be chrome plated PVC.

Reviving an old thread- thank you so much for this idea. Worked great! Cut off 1-2” of the end then ran four cuts from the bottom to about 1” from the top. Put it in the hole and tapped with rubber mallet. Came out looking factory!!!!
