Hi there, i have a problem and was hoping that you guys could point me in the right direction.

I have a 1995 Tacoma 4x4. I removed the steering wheel to paint it, and everything was fine. After I connected it back, the turn signal, emergency lights and the horn doesnt work. I know there is a posibility that the clock spring can be out. I did notice that there is a little black cable that was disconnected after I removed the steering wheel. I am hoping that is my problem here. I cant seem to figure out where it is supposed to be plugged in. Does anyone now where this is supposed to go? Pictures would be great...

    Thanks in advance...

the best bet would to trace that wiring but it does sounds like a damaged or disconnected clock spring. I had the same issue after I disconnected my steering linkage.

That black wire is for the horn, mine plugged into that white connector that is next to the airbag connector. Maybe check the fuses to see if any blew when taking off the steering wheel.

yep, if the horn wire touched ground you blew the fuse, might be in the fuse box or under the hood fuse box im not sure

well, I already checked the fuse and the fuse is good. The deal is that it is disconnected and I think it does go into the white plug next to the airbag one, but I dont know into what connector... Thanks for the feed back...

Grab a test light and touch one of the connectors and see if one or both activate the horn. Then hook up the wire to the one that does.
