I have a 2002 toyota tacoma regular cab in green. Everything works fine. Except for the a/c. The a/c only really works on high bit other that that it takes it's sweet time trying to cool the passengers off. It goes like Useless to useless to useless to high. Does anyone else here have a 1st gen with this problem? How can I fix it? I dont want to have it up on high all the time because that would eat into fuel milage. Thanks for looking.

Factory cruise added, wood storage box in bed, wood center console/armrest, charcoal air filter delete.
Having it on high makes no difference to fuel economy, it's just the fan blowing faster and generally the lower speeds are accomplished using a resistor to waste some of the current into heat energy so no extra power being consumed. Have the A/C checked to know that it's working properly, may be low on freon or something.
