2003 4Runner – Should I Buy a V6 or V8 ???

    I sold mine to a family friend with 147k miles on it and he loves it. The only thing that failed on it was a front wheel bearing.

    Yes.
    So 4runners that look like the 1st gen tacomas have the 3.4L for a V6. It has a timing belt and needs replaced every 90k or so.

    4runners that look like the 2nd gen tacomas have the 4.0L for a V6, and do not have the timing belt to mess with.

    The 3.4L is a good engine. My GF's other 4runner has 450k and counting.
